Time is flying by; I can’t believe it is October already!
In maths this week, year 4 have been learning different mental strategies to help them with addition and subtraction. I’ve seen some brilliant resilience from the children. At first, we found this quite tricky but with some practice we are getting more and more confident using these strategies. Well done!
We are still reading some Roman myths which we are really enjoying and next week we will be inventing our own Roman myth! We’ve been looking at figurative language to make our writing as interesting as possible.
In art, we had a go at making some mosaic pictures as a practise for our final piece. We took inspiration from ancient Roman mosaics and also looked at Gaudi’s mosaic work in Barcelona.
I hope you all have a lovely, restful weekend.
See you on Monday!
