Key Stage 1 Musical PE lesson
Here are some ideas for your Thursday afternoon PE lesson. Some are activities we have already covered in PE lessons and there are a few new ideas to try and things to think about.
Please make sure children are suitably dressed for physical activity and that there is enough space available so they can complete activities safely.
Please begin your PE session with Fit in 15, which can be viewed on some of my earlier posts on the General news area of the school website.
There are a number of videos to join in with below. Feel free to do your favourite activities more than once!
Please remember to cool down after you have finished. Again, instructions are on the Fit in 15 post if you need them.
Another favourite – please don’t be disappointed if you don’t hear your name today – I will do other recordings in the coming weeks. You could always teach whoever is at home with you and play the game yourselves.
Gymnastics shapes are an important part of PE. They are Stretch; Star; Crouch; Tuck; Pike and Straddle. Remember to think about body tension – extended or floppy shapes.
