Nursery News 14/10/22
Hello everyone and welcome to our first class news post! Remember to check back here every Friday for pictures and updates about our week in Nursery.
Over the passed few weeks the children have been settling in and beginning to learn our class routines. I have been completing my baseline assessments to see what the children already know and what they can do before our more formal teaching starts after the half term.
This week we have been practising our cutting skills and trying to write the initial letters of our names. Please do keep practising mark making and lots of colouring activities at home to facilitate this.
We have also been looking at number recognition and rote counting with lots of maths activities and counting songs.
This week was also Black History Week. We listened to and acted out the story of Handa's Surprise and painted wonderful African animals. Thank you to those children that came in their traditional dress today. They all looked amazing!
Please take a look at lots of photos we have taken over the last few weeks.
Have a wonderful weekend,
