Reading at St. Joseph's

To encourage a lifelong love of reading for every child through a language rich curriculum. Children are encouraged to read a wide variety of genres and staff will support this through reading across the curriculum.

We hope that children will read with fluency and expression, and read for meaning. As a staff, we have a duty to ensure all children reach their reading potential and to make progress within each year group.

Reading is the key to accessing all areas of the curriculum, in Primary and beyond.
