Year 6, Autumn 2, Week 7
We’ve made it to the end of the last full week of term. Just a day and a half to go! It’s been a busy week, with topic sharing day and lots of recording for the carol concert to fit in plus the party today.
It was lovely to see so many of the children had made such an effort to dress up for topic sharing on Tuesday. Our topic sharing project for the day (and the rest of this week) was Make Do and Mend; the children have looked at soft toys and how they’re made, then designed their own and created patterns. They’ve learned to put the pattern onto fabric, pin it, cut around it and are sewing the pieces together with backstitch. So, if you have any mending at home – Year 6 have all the skills now to have a go!
Today was the Talent Show and Christmas Party. Well done to the boys who auditioned for the Talent Show, performed brilliantly and won! Excellent work, Ben, Jaden, Jerron, Kachi, Oliver, Raphael, Tanatswa.
