Year 6, Summer 2, Week 2
What can I say? Last week, it was an absolute joy to be away with Year 6 for five days. We were all so proud of their behaviour and everywhere we looked, we saw smiles all week. Every single child entered into every activity with enthusiasm and, even when they were out of their comfort zone and a bit anxious, they had a go. I saw so much perseverance, determination, leadership and kindness towards each other all week. We have lots and lots of photos, which I've only just managed to get from the cameras; I'm going to put them all in a powerpoint to share with Year 6 before putting them all on the website for you to see but here are a few tasters.
This week, I think it has been a bit of a shock to the system to be back in class, especially in this heat. However, Year 6 have completed their RE topic on Witnesses and have done some interesting work in other areas, such as practising making circuits and investigating how to make a switch and what materials conduct electricity in science.
